Basic Info
My name is Jessica but I can go simply by Jess or JT.
I was born and raised in Australia and come from Filipino, Chinese and Australian background.
I have a loving mother, father, younger sister (by 2 years and who is also like my BFF) and little dog named Biscuit.
Interests
My interests are really scattered and it's hard to pinpoint what I have a passion for.
I like to read and LOVE to write, especially when it's about my own thoughts or exploring unique ideas. Also my obsession with coffee is probably caused by my love for cafes and hunting for new cafes/desserts.
Other hobbies and interest include my love to read, watch and listen to anything that is often stereotyped as "non-mainstream" or "uncool" (whatever that means in this day and age). I watch independent films, obsess over anime and read comics (DC fam where you at). Although I come from a classically-trained background in music and piano, I also practically live to experiment with music genres and discovering new, weird sounds.
To also let you know, I'm open to giving/receiving recommendations about the topics above, to engage in plenty of discussions on them and to discover new things to add to my interests.
The Creation of My Blog
Many people consider me as a quiet and introspective person which is both a blessing and a curse but none-the-less something I want to use it as my strength in this blog. I'm hoping that this blog can be used to explore the various things I observe and encounter as well as offload my daily thoughts or anything on certain topics that I tend to "ramble" about.
Behind The Name of My Blog
Easy enough to explain, I have an obsession with coffee. Not only for it's effects in waking up someone like me who is definitely not a morning person but also because I love the feeling of holding or hugging a mug and quietly sipping the coffee inside it. It's where I feel the most calm and my mind is most at ease. It's probably also the time when my mind can fully piece together my thoughts and feelings. Coffee isn't just a drink, it's a way of life.
